Marvin Durant...aka "Mr. Marvin"
Marvin is a native of Kansas City, graduating from Central High school in 1977, then continuing his education at the University of Missouri - Columbia earning a bachelors in Radio-TV-Film.
Marvin started his career at KCMO AM as a board operator. After two years, he became Sports Producer. He produced a variety of programs, including the station's sports talk program, Kansas City Kings games, the award winning Chiefs Sunday pre game halftime and post game show, and pre and post game coverage of the Kansas City Royals, where he covered the 1985 World Series.
In 1990 Marvin began his managerial career as program director of a news/talk station in Naples, Fla. He continued to be in involved in sports as he hosted pre and post game shows of the station's high football broadcasts
Marvin later moved to Cleveland..in a management role at the flagship station of the Cleveland Indians , where he covered the 1997 major league baseball All Star game and 1997 World Series.
He also worked at another news/talk station and a gospel station before moving back to Kansas City in 2011.
Active at the Jamison Memorial Temple CME Church, where he is chairman of the audio/visual ministry.
